Wanderslore Open Day

Located in the Yarra Valley, east of Melbourne, this 10 ha property is an oasis of native vegetation in an area now heavily subdivided. The land was donated to Trust for Nature in 1987 by the late Constance Coleman – an artist, poet, teacher and nature lover.

See creeks and gullies, ferns and grasses, fungi and open forests with guided or self-guided walks. Meet the Friends of Wanderslore and visit the Studio - Art exhibition

Spring into Nature with us

Our yearly field day program of conservation events throughout September to November

Each year we hold a series of events around Victoria throughout the spring season. Hundreds of attendees join in, travelling from from all over the country. Our events come in all kinds of formats, and may include:

  • Open days at private conservation properties
  • Workshops to learn more about a species or subject
  • Field outings to put your new knowledge into practice
  • Guided tours by experts in the fields of science, conservation and/or species
  • Camping and hiking trips
  • Talks on private land conservation practices for landowners
  • Knowledge sharing and networking
