Practical bushland management on Wodonga's fringe

Join Trust for Nature staff and landholders Greg and Lynda Oates for a walk and talk on their beautiful Huon Creek property.

Learn more about:

- Nest box design and installation
- Chainsaw carved tree hollows
- Ecological thinning
- Wildlife surveying using motion activated cameras
- The impacts of herbivore browsing on the bush
- Landholder incentive projects
- Conservation covenants
(The walk will be about 2.5 km. Moderate fitness is required)

Spring into Nature with us

Our yearly field day program of conservation events throughout September to November

Each year we hold a series of events around Victoria throughout the spring season. Hundreds of attendees join in, travelling from from all over the country. Our events come in all kinds of formats, and may include:

  • Workshops to learn more about a species or subject
  • Field outings to put your new knowledge into practice
  • Guided tours by experts in the fields of science, conservation and/or species
  • Camping and hiking trips
  • Talks on private land conservation practices for landowners
