Wanderers Plain Launch

Listen to Nathan Wong (the Trust’s Grassy Ecosystem Coordinator) talk about the launch of Wanderers Plains. The property was purchased in May this year and is now our second largest. Wanderers Plain provides important grassland and woody grassland habitat for threatened species such as the Plains-wanderer (a small, quail-like bird that only lives in native grasslands), Curl Snake and Slender Darling-pea. Wanderers Plains is an important link to connecting the remaining grassland areas in northern Victoria.
